Christmas is for Everyone

Catching Up...

Trying to catch up on posting -- December is hectic for everyone, I know, and it's particularly busy for those of us in retail.

Tim and I have become active in a Congregational church near our house. At one time, it boasted a congregation of about 1500, probably some time in the early 1970s; it's down to about 200 now, I think. It still has a lovely "campus," including a beautiful old home that serves as the church office. Tim, as the Media and Public Relations Board (committee of one), is shown here hosting coffee hour on the patio in early December.









Meanwhile, Stuart, Leslie, Bruce, Alex, Dad and Janet headed down to Sayulita, Mexico, to visit Leila. The players shown here are, left to right, Bruce, Janet, Alex, Leila's friend Pato, and Stuart. Pato took the boys fishing in the ocean; I don't know what they caught other than suntans, but the report was that it was lots of fun.




Leslie claims she woke up one morning to discover these four-legged lawnmowers outside Leila's house. I recognize the Jeep Cherokee, so I guess it must be true.

Good Tidings

Congratulations to the college graduates, Ben and Lindsay!

Dad, Janet and Alex headed to UW-Whitewater to celebrate with Ben. Alex doesn't look at all proud of Ben, does he?








Donna and Bruce went to UW-Stout to watch Lindsay graduate. And Lindsay sent a fun holiday picture of her co-workers at the campus store where she held an internship.





And I don't have pictures, but Stuart's news that his health has stabilized brought, I know, big smiles to everyone's faces across the country!

Now we need pictures of Sarah at Christmas, and of course, of anyone and anything else that y'all want to post or send to me to post.

Back to the Blizzard

From baby bumblebees to blizzards -- the Brown clan has it all...
Taking you back for a moment to our New Mexico trip, here's the view last weekend from the front door of Stuart and Leslie's mountain retreat. No wonder they love that place!








Getting a smile out of Stuart for a photo is, as many of you know, a challenge. I'm afraid I didn't manage it here, but it was snowing, I was shivering -- I'm lucky the photo is in focus. Brrr!




And finally, snow on the prickly pear outside Carlsbad Caverns -- ya gotta love it. "Climate change," huh?
