Lulu the Foster Cat

Maybe you can tell from the picture -- Lulu is quite a character.

We met her at our vet's clinic. She'd evidently wandered into one of the vet's homes, helped herself to the dog food, and fell asleep. They tell us her tail had been badly damaged and they had to cut it off, but she wags her little stump around and doesn't seem to notice any difference. They allowed us to bring her home to see if Digit would accept her. Alas, Digit hasn't done so, but we've fallen in love with Lulu. We're hoping cranky little Digit will get over it.

Tim thinks Lulu has channeled Sweetpea -- she's just as easygoing as Sweetpea was, and has eerily similar eyes. In fact, Lulu reminds me of one of Sweetpea's offspring, Max, that my friend Frannie adopted. I even called her Max the other day.

It's amazing how much it brightens the house and our spirits, to have a new pal in the house.
